Special Optical Components
In optics, the etalon as a kind of a Fabry-Pérot interferometer is typically made of a transparent plate with two reflecting surfaces. Its transmission spectrum as a function of wavelength exhibits peaks of large transmission corresponding to resonances of the etalon. Etalons are widely used in telecommunications, lasers and spectroscopy for controlling and measuring the wavelength of laser sources.
LAYERTEC offers etalons of various materials and customized diameters depending on the wavelength range. Subject to the diameter thicknesses down to 50 µm and a parallelism < 1 arcsec are possible. Do not hesitate to contact us for the customized diameter and thickness you need.

Customized Prisms and Shapes
LAYERTEC is able to offer special dispersion prisms with definite dispersion angles. Common used materials such as various types of fused silica, BK7, SF10, Infrasil and CaF2 are allocated for your application from the UV to the NIR wavelength ranges.
With respect to components for fs-applications, LAYERTEC offers shapes in customized sizes for the set-up of definite dispersions. The special quality of our shapes are the small thicknesses of the thin side down to 200 µm and a real flatness of λ/10 (633nm) over the whole surface. Of course all components will be delivered with the well - known high LAYERTEC quality (10 -3 scratch-dig).
Polishing of Crystals
Besides the high quality optical coatings on crystals LAYERTEC supports the polishing of various types of crystals such as YAG, KGW, KYW or LBO.
